Everytime I start my computer, I get a "Windows Protection Error" and then it asks me to restart the computer. After I restart the computer it only allows me to enter Windows 95 in safe mode. Please help me fix this error. Thanks

Howdy, Well when did this problem occur? Have you added/removed any software/hardware? It normaly is a hardware conflict with protected mode driver since it is loading in Safe Mode which doesn't load any protected mode drivers of extended memory. So if you have updated any of you're drivers let us know also. But we need more details before we can help ya out.

Laters,

Kevin The Tech Dude.

I have the same problem with 2 computers, one of them has windows98 only and the other one is a notebook. "Windows protection error, You have to restart your computer" an error that dose not have to do with Anti- Virus or any new installed program. Please help me.

I am having a simmilar problem with my Trident based 9750 Card. As soon as I load the Video driver, Windows stops loading in Normal Mode. The processor is an AMD but it's the slower 166 (133) chip. I'm downloading the MS patch but I am leary about this fixing my problem.
