okay I just put in a new video card, and in windows media player when its full screen, it looks like sh!t its almost like its in 256 colours, so I decided to upgrade to 7.1, and pretty much the same problem occured, just it was in correct colors just it was really choppy, im thinking of reinstalling windows, got any suggestions?

Check the properties of the clip you are playing. They're not all designed to be played in full screen mode. Most, in fact, are designed to be little windows, and when you blow them up, that's what you get: choppy with distorted lines and unclear views.

Reloading the OS won't help. Don't maximise the window, and see what it looks like.

I would go in the options and click on the tab performance. Then slide the video performance sliders up to the highest setting. Also check fullscreen mode switch.

Almost forgot, re-install Direct-X. different video cards require different rivers. That may help, too.
