Hi,
I use Windows 95 in the office. It is connected to the NT server.
I logon to the domain using a specific password. I don't want the windows logon screen anymore. It pops up for the password always. What do I do? Pl. help solve this

i don't think you can do it with a specific password, only if the password input is blank.

If the network and local windows logon passwords are not the same it will always ask you for one than the other. You need to make both passwords the same. Follow these steps.

1. Goto CONTROL PANEL
2. Click on the icon PASSWORDS (looks like keys)
3. From there you can change your windows password. change the windows password to be the same as the network logon password.

Once both passwords are the same you will only be prompted once for a logon password then it will enter windows. You can also get tweakui for 95 and have it automatically enter the password for you. So all you have to do is turn on the pC in the morning and it will boot up and logon automatically.

Hi,
I work on a network that is setup with both NT and windows 95. To get rid of the win95 logon prompt, after the NT logon is complete and the windows 95 logon comes up, clear both the userid and the password boxes and click ok. You will not get the win95 logon box anymore. Hope this helps you.

On the network neighbourhood icon, Right Click and choose properties. near the botton of the properties there is a logon box. Choose Family Logon instead of Microsoft network logon. Problem Solved!
