I recently bought an athalon 700, and have been plagued with "windows protection error, you must restart your computer. I've deleted the rmm.pdr and smartdrv.exe files and am still having problems. Thought that it was the memory so i bought pc133. it diddn't help either.

Y orgmeister,

Not enough info--is your OS 95 or 98?? If W95, you need the AMD patch for >350mhz cpu.
