Windows cannot determine what configuration your computer is in. Select one of the following:
1. Original configuration.
2. Test configuration.
3. None of the above.

Any suggestions as to how to solve this problem? (I also have shut down problems!)

R-click on My Computer. Choose Properties, then Hardware Profiles. Highlight the unwanted profiles one by one then choose Delete for each. Just ensure you leave a "working" profile.

If you don't want to see the Boot from Atapi CD rom: Failure statement, enter your bios on bootup and change the boot sequence to A, C, CDROM or a combination you're happy with.
