Is there any way I can reinstall, or copy, the Windows folder from the Windows 98 cd without installing anything else?

Delete something by mistake? It might be possible, but I've never tried it. The Windows folder has things from all over the Win98 disc in it, can't just copy it. I'd just reinstall Win98, it's time consuming but it shouldn't mess up your programs. Take the custom install and choose just the things you have installed now. Don't install Drivespace or Disc Compression. BACK-UP all personal data, settings for your internet connections, and anything else you don't want to lose or won't remember later. Have installation discs for all the programs you put in on hand, and make a boot disc with cdrom support first in case you need it. Boot with it and make sure you can access your cdrom before you try reinstalling WIn98.
