Sometimes when I'm using my computer, explorer error comes up and when I click OK the screen flashes and my system tray loses some icons. After that, explorer error repeatedly shows up whenever I try to use any sort of program and when I try to tupe in Internet Explorer.Restarting seems to fix it for a while, but then it simply comes back again after a while. I'm not sure if this is a virus or not, but it's driving me nuts.

Hello Barry, This problem of fatal error made on the program " Explorer.exe " is well known in the windows system. generally connected with the DLL Kernel32.dll. The problem get up when you have on windows 98 too many install or uninstall procedure, and sometimes with some updates which are not well yet beta-tested as for exemple DirectsX 8.0, 8.1 or later There is no way to resolve the problem, in the matter of the fact we don't know which files is corrupted or damaged. Everytimes I got that problem, I reinstalled all my windows system using the restore kit given with the machine when bought. That way you are sure every mistake have been erased from your computer.... otherwise you will loose your time to try many manipulation which never will give you satisfaction.....
