My windows starts odd. It boots up with this No Bios installed message, hit any button to continue then boots to win 98, boots back to DOS does this files not found thing, and boots back to win 98 - takes forever to finally get into windows - looks like some wrote a program to run around in circles!

I think you may need to allow the bios to be cached in cmos. The files not found message is coming from the autoexec.bat file trying to load files that aren't there. It has nothing to do with the bios message.
