Windows boot option screen comes up!!

I have a pc that always goes to the windows boot option and I choose Normal mode and it works fine.. but I dont understand why all of a sudden it is coming up on every boot. Thanks for any ideas...

click the start button, then run, type in msconfig click ok, on the general tab select the advance button at near bottom, in the list of items about half way down see if Enable startup menu is checked. if it is uncheck it and click ok, click apply you will be asked to reboot, click ok, and Boot menu shouldn't appear anymore.

Someone may have edited you msdos.sys file in the root of your boot partition, it should read BootGUI=1 to boot straight into Windows, if its any different then someone or something has changed it, Ive3 see the same thing on a friends system which ran scandisk thorough every time he booted, if need be just set the attribute of msdos.sys to -a -s -h in dos and edit it to what it should be.
