Comment: A clients pc refuses to sucessfully print past the first time it is invoked. They use aol for dialup and have no plans otherwise. You can print emails just fine but any webpages it is sucessful with just once. Reboot and you can print one time. They're running IE5.5 and an ancient install of Win98 1st edition. Aol is at v8 if it matters. Outside of AOL everything is peachy as far as I can tell.

Reply: (edit)I would hazard to guess that the print spooler is running out of hard drive space. I am not familiar with the software provided by AOL, but the rports I have heard are not entirely favourable. I would begin by getting rid of that. None of it is needed and it was likely to have been developed for a more modern computer. If nothing else, you'll gain more drive space.

Reply: (edit)Hmm that fits within one theory. I noticed that IE would save a html file into C:\windows\temp then print the file. After the first attempt another file is not created there. I'll give it a shot and report back for future reference.

Reply: (edit)I would try uninstalling the AOL adapter in Device manager and let it get reinstalled. or do a Quick Restore of the AOL software, or do a complete new install of AOL software and see any of those help. Also uninstall and reinstall the printer software and printer driver. Also a repair of Internet explorer or even upgrading to IE 6 may help.
