Comment: I defragmented my hard drive and now Windows does not boot up. Several Messages come up. Sector not found These Files are Either missing or Corrupted Windows/Himem.sys windows/dblbuff.sys windows/ifshlp.sys can't find win.com, unable to continue loading windows When I try certain things one of those messages will show up. If anyone can hel[p or has a remedy to this problem please let me know. Your help is appreciated.

Reply: (edit)Sounds to me like someone possibly mixed up Win98 and Win95. I agree with saw. Time to format (or delete c:,c:\windows,c:\programfiles) and run Win98 SE setup.
