Windows 98 keeps resetting

Help! I have a pentium 3 800 with abit bx133 motherboard. I have just fdisked and reformatted my hdd and installed win 98 it goes in fine until it boots up for the first time then it detects drivers and it resets.I can get into safe mode with no problems but everytime I go in normal start up it reboots.

One of drivers must be reinstalled. In safe mode try to remove COM 1, 2 and reboot the PC:

I also have the same problem where my system continuously reboots for no apparent reason. I've checked that the power cord is secure, changed the power pack, fdisk and reinstalled Win '98. The command prompt and safe mode are stable but not normal mode. Deleting COM 1,2 did not fix it.

Same here I tried removing the com ports and that didnt help at all, any other suggestions would be gladly received .... otherwise the comp is going out the window!!
