Does ant one know of a driver available or in development for the trident cyber9525DVD
that works correctly under D3D and or OpenGL
I have searched in vain and any i have downloaded are not compatible with the codecs
the card itself is quoted "on the trident site" to be "openGL compatible" Yeah Right!

Not sure what type of PC you have. Is it a laptop. I found a driver here:
http://www.isd.toshiba.com.au/personal_computers/files_drivers/files_4030.html

Try it out

I am responding to your question with a different question.

I have a fujitsu notebook with a Trident Cyber 9525DVD chip and 2.5M of video memory.

It has a 1024x768 pixel display and you can display 16-bit color at this resolution. However, there is no 24-bit color option -- only a 32-bit color option. Due to display memory limitations, I can only display 32-bit color at 800x600 pixels. What I want is a 24-bit color driver at 1024x768 resolution. Do you know if such a driver is available?

I have a Toshiba 2710XDVD with a Cyber9525DVD. When I play a DVD movie, I get 4 horizontal lines (sharp) and smaller lines at the edges. The problem is not the DVD drive as I also have this when the (movie-type Toshiba) screensaver comes up. Could this be a driver problem? Seen it before??
