Windows 98 won't boot, I installed it on my formatted hard drive "C". in the installation it needs to reboot twice, but by the second time that it reboots, it just locks up when it comes by the second windows 98 screen. if I reboot in safe mode, the computer locks up if the desktop appears, no icons and no start button or anything like that, just a bleu screen. can somebody please tell me what the problem is and how I can fix it? thanx

Sounds like there must be something wrong with the installation. Format it again and reinstall. Delete any partitions that you have. Kevin.

I've done thatalready, three times, tried to install it on another computer and that worked so there's nothing wrong with the partitions or something like that, i think

Had the same problem a while back. Turned out the problem was a faulty RAM module I had just installed before trying to install windows. Removed RAM module and it installed fine. Might want to check that.

"Just a blue screen?" What does it say?

there's nothing on the bleu screen, it is supposed to be my desktop in safe mode, but it's just a empty screen that is blue colored. It doesn't has icons or a start button on it. and i only can turn the computer of by shutting the power supply. I will check on that ram module, hope that it will work, thanks for the help.
