a parameter is kinda like a variable its something for example in dos you typed edit it would go into edit, but if you wanted to see you.txt you would type edit you.txt you.txt is the parameter because its after the main program its hard to explain but with any luck you will get it oh and i dun have a copy of win95 i can send to ya :(

What they said. Parameters are measures or values of an individual unit. The hard drive parameters are the number of Cylinders, heads and sectors. These parameters measure how they are different from other hard drives operationally. Parameters are specificions you may need to enter someplace.
