Windows 95 startup problems

When I start, before I see the Windows 95 loading screen, I receive a message informing me that my pre-release version of Windows 98 is about to expire unless I upgrade. I've never even had a Win 98 CD near my PC! Any help would be appreciated.

You have had a prank pulled on you. Boot into windows in safe mode and check your start/programs/startup folder. Failing that, from the DOS prompt edit Win.ini, there you will find the culprit in either the run= or load= lines.
