Windows 95 Logon - How Do I Get In?

I am a fairly new computer user, and I have obtained a used Windows 95 computer for free. I can't logon to the computer to change the password, because the computer will not allow me to just cancel (x) at the logon prompt box? Also, the computer keeps asking for a Domain. How do I work around the network logon to get into the computer operating system? And then, what do I have to do to keep this logon from poping up again. If anyone can please help me I would appreciate it alot.

Do you have a boot floppy and the Win95 CD? You can always do a clean install. Re-format, then re-install.
(Boot floppy's are available for download, btw).

Try booting into SafeMode. Hit the key right after it detects the drives. Should give you the option to choose #3 and go to safe mode. Then search for *.pwl files and delete them. Next time you boot up is should ask for password and you can put in whatever you want. You may need to change the network options too.
