Are there any generic display drivers for windows 95 which can display on any pc 256 colours (or more) and up to 800*600, as the standard ones do only 16 colour 640*480? Does anyone have a link?

I don't think any of the generic drivers have that option. You need to find out what video chipset you have. You may need to open the case and have a look at the card. Post back any info on it here if you're unsure about it.

No such thing as a generic high res driver - there's the free Scitech Display Doctor package though
