I have a 80486DX2 with 8MB RAM and a CD-ROM DRIVE. I just formatted my disk. When I try to install Windows 95 it says 'setup found a currupt cab file and cannot continue.'One time it did continue but it did not detect my cd-rom drive saying that a diver was running in ms-dos capability mode. Whats the problem.

Those are two different things. The corrupt file is a dirty or scratched cd, the ms-dos compatibility mode if from loading a dos driver from autoexec.bat and config.sys. Place "rem;" in front of the lines in each loading the cd-rom driver. Then reboot and if the cd-rom is detected in BIOS setup (you must get in there and check) then win9x will see your cd-rom drive.
