you can manually restore backed-up registry files like this start in command prompt only (F8) type "cd c:\windows" and press enter to go into the windows directory type "dir sysbckup\rb???.cab" and make a note of the files displayed including their date and time if rb003.cab is the file you need to restore, type "extract /e sysbckup\rb003.cab" and press enter. when prompted whether to overwrite files type y or yes and press enter. post back if you need more explanation by the way, never post your email address the way you have done. the spammers will get it my signature does not look like this
