Win98/win95-home-Network DON'T WORK !!!!!

I Have two computers connected with two network cards , they are both good , anda the cable is ok !! So i can see each computer to him self, but canīt see the other ! Everything is ok ! i tryed everything , they are same work group , etc etc !!! I donīt know what to do more any ideas ???
( I have a third computer in my school that works in a windos network , i take it to home , and even him can't connect to the home network !! any ideas PLS?? tks

If both cards work and they are using the same protocol, ie. NetBEUI then I would suspect that the cable is without a "twist". In other words, unless you are using a hub that performs this task for you, or you have purchased a cable woth a twist, then I suggest you pick up a rj-45 female adapter. This plugs into the NIC card on one of your systems and allows the (CTS and CTR) two cards to talk to one another...

If you want to connect two computers without a HUB, you should use a special twisted-pair cable (CROSSOVER CABLE)!!!!!!!!
