win98se,new fresh install,PIII500,tekram p6proA+ board,256 megs of ram,20.0gig WD HD..,Any and all screensavers lock up and with this lock up the computer,Not all the time,sometimes it may take hours. any ideas, thanks

Aside from ATI drivers sucking the big one, u might want to try disabling virus system scan when the screensaver kicks in if u have McAfee Virusscan on your computer.
If that doesn't solve the problem it is probably the new ATI driver. Try installing earlier drivers and see what happens.
