Currently running win98SE for personal use, nothing fancy. I have recently aquired an upgrade version of win ME and know nothing about it. I'm happy w/ win98 and was wondering if win ME is better, and what it has to offer that 98 doesn't have.

yes for me, (as in me myself)
i upgraded and the cons (if any) are nothing when you look at the pro's. Besides in the future you will have to run Me when the software world leaves 98, like it has almost dun to 95.

but if you still require a real real DOS then no. Me has dos but not a full real dos. But more dos than windows 2000.

But you can get around the problem with a dos floppy on the boot up.

but i only need a real real dos for dvd flashing (making the region free forever buy re-writting the rom chips)

but if you wanna play dos games Me is fine, thats to say that i have had no problems, doesn't mean that there are none.

Incase you haven't noticed 98 is the same as 95. All the applications I've seen at the store only require 95. Because there is no differance except some behind the scenes and 98 is more unstable and takes up more hard drive space
