Win98SE Startup Probs

Hi there...am having probs with my WIN98SE startup I have:
Epox VIA Apollo Pro+ AGPset MotherBoard Diamond Viper 770 Graffics Card 128MB Ram 3 GIG Hard Drive
When i get up in the morning i turn it on and it freezes at the "98 Startup Screen" so i restart and go into "safe mode" which starts up first go then go to "diagnostics start up" and it will freeze maybe once then it will start..once its started i go back into MSCONFIG and load it the "Normal" way which will work fine for a while untill i leave the computer running with me not there for 5 mins and i'l come back and its frozen again....also getting dotted lines come up on the screen as im using it aswell as alot of lines if i leave it unattended for a while. There is no fan running on my Graffics card either...doesnt get overly hot.

I don't know for sure, but the dotted lines that you mentioned sound like something with the video card driver. Try reinstalling the driver or getting an updated version from the manufacturer.
