hi. i'm trying to install windows 98se. i have partitioned and formatted the hard drive to fat32. the install goes fine until it hits 30%. then i get the error "file copying problem - you interupted setup while it was copying windows files from setup (.cab) file." i tryed other win98se disks and the same problem. i've tryed another cd rom also...same problem...always at 30%. any ideas? thanks.

Try copying over the CD-ROM's Win98 folder to the hard drive and then run setup from there Science is built up with facts, as a house is with stones. But a collection of facts is not more a science than a heap of stones is a home

Since it fails with different CDs and drives, you might want to check your RAM. These are both pretty good Memtest86 or Doc memory tester
