My early startup menu was offering me a choice of starting
Win98 or QNX and I only wanted to add another choice of
starting "Amithlon" which is a linux based AmigaOS emulator.
Amithlon starts fine from MSDOS using this batch file I wrote
from C:\windows\ called "Amiga.bat"cd ..
cd amithlon
loadlin @amithlonOk, but to avoid having to go to msdos first, I edited config.sys
like this:[menu]
menuitem=WIN, Windows
menudefault=WIN,30
menuitem=QNXDMA, QNX Realtime Platform
menuitem=QNX, QNX Realtime Platform (DMA Disabled)
menuitem=AMIGA, AmigaOS 3.9
menucolor=7,0
[QNX]
DEVICE=C:\PROGRA~1\QNX\boot\bin\loadqnx.sys C:\PROGRA~1\QNX\boot\fs\root.qfs,C:\PROGRA~1\QNX\boot\fs\qnxbase.ifs
[QNXDMA]
DEVICE=C:\PROGRA~1\QNX\boot\bin\loadqnx.sys C:\PROGRA~1\QNX\boot\fs\root.qfs,C:\PROGRA~1\QNX\boot\fs\qnxbas~1.ifs
[ AMIGA]
C:\WINDOWS\Amiga
[WIN]
REM To make a DOS boot diskette, see the file c:\DosBoot\DosBoot.txt.device=c:\windows\himem.sys /testmem:off
DEVICE=C:\WINDOWS\EMM386.exe NOEMS
dos=high,umb
buffers=40rem The below DOS CD ROM driver is not required to run Windows 98.
device=c:\cdrom\OakCdRom.sys /D:IDECD000
[COMMON]Why won't the amiga.bat file load when I choose it? (It reverts to windows
and gives me an error) doh!Robert lo@amiga.org

I don't know a great deal about this, but from what I can see, in the amiga section, you dont call up Amiga.bat, just amiga , also can you call up a bat file from config.sys?

Yup, your right according to others, can not call up a bat file. I have to use autoexec.bat, but being used to the Amiga way of doing things, I am at a loss still.
