Hi, I have Win98SE & XP Pro installed on a HPT370 software-striped RAID array. I created a FAT32 partition using Partition Magic 7 and installed Win98SE, then installed XP Pro afterwards on an NTFS partition using the partitioning capabilities of XP. Both OSes work fine, except that I can't change the resolution or colour depth in 98SE. I have downloaded the correct drivers for my monitor, video card etc for 98SE but still no joy. I'm stuck with a resolution of 640x480 and 16 colours - not good! Anyone any ideas please?
Thanks,
Roger.

Hi Roger. I had the exact same problem, but with Win98 first edition. I had to remove the NTFS partition of XP, reinstall the video drivers of Win98, then re-install XP, BUT...I had to hide the FAT32 partition of Win98 before I installed XP. After that, everything worked fine. Hope this helps.

I question if you have loaded the 'correct' video drivers. You wil not find them on your CDROM. You will have to download them from the mfgr. Or go just to the right of your original message and click on the links to "DRIVERS". You will need to know what make and model video adaptor you are using.
Here is another source:Can't find video adaptor? Download Bel;arc. Everything you wanted to know about your hardware:

Rob, thanks for that. I might give that a try as a last resort. If I find another way I'll post it here. I don't want to have to reinstall and recustomise XP if I can help it, but we'll see.
dmorse3, I *have* downloaded the correct and latest drivers - from the manufacturers' websites.
Anyone else any ideas? Like I said, whichever solution works for me, I'll post it here. Thanks all!
Roger.
