Win98SE bootup help

OS: win98SE
CPU/Ram: 400mhz/256mb
Comment:

while doing a install of OS i get to the Please wait while setup initializes
then
scanning system registry
then
copying files needed for windows setup
i wait and all it will do from there is blink on the screen at the top left hand side under the messages above no beeps nothing any help would be great thanks

Doc,

First check you bios and disable the Antivirus option if it is there.
