win98se and winxp shared int access

I need to be able to share internet access between nic cards on 98se and xp home. I have tried going and installing internet tools, but my new laptop doesn't have a floppy! (don't ask) I am running a crossover cable between the two, but the new top doesn't pick up anything. Any ideas? Mac
Ok, so there are no answers yet huh? Well I have successfully been able to file share now between the both of the computers. Now to the internet part... I have an RCA 235 USB cable modem.
