Comment:

I am running Win98Se, It is current with all known supposed updates and drivers I am aware of.
The problem is I am trying to use my Acomdata Hybrid Drive (via a USB connection) to move some files and what not. I plug it in the USB port, and the light on the drive itself pops on so its getting power, its just that Windows doesnt recognizze this in MY Computer so I cannot access it.

The user manual does say it is comp with 98SE and I have installed the driver from the Acomdata CD. I also have installed the Windows Mass STorage update file as well as the drivers from this site http://www.technical-assistance.co....

is there anyway to get to this work??

If the drive is new it may not be formatted. I can't recall if the drive should show in My Computer if it isn't formatted.

Is there a safely remove icon in the tray next to the clock? It is a green arrow over a drive symbol.

Did you install the drivers before connecting the drive? You probably shouldn't have installed the generic driver from the link. That driver shuld only be used as a last resort.
