Howdy, Well you most likely have a corrupt registry. Have you tried to start in safe mode? If you can't get into safe mode is when the problems get serious. If you are not sure about any of this, take it to a tech and have them look at it for you.

Sound like your hard drive may be getting full. See this page: http://www.dictacomm.com/98Help/Explorer_boot_Full.htm

Yes for the problem like that try the following.
1) boot to a C:\> prompt, to do so turn on your computer and keep tapping the F8 key on your keyboard until you get a menu and then chose option number 5(Command prompt only). Then at the C:\> prompt type in "scanreg /fix" and then hit ENTER.
2) If the problem does exist in Safe Mode(you can choose it on that menu you get to with F8) then you can either take it to a tech or call your computer tech support.
There are some more thigns that can be done other than get a tech at this point, but they are quite drastic, and can possibly cause a loss of information.
If it does not occure in Safe Mode, still contact a tech, because your OS has quite a probelm. You can run "sfc from the Start->Run, and then see what, if any, files are missing, just to help the teh(you might want to try your computers tech support, if you have any).

And last, if you have added any new programs recently try to uninstall them from Safe Mode, if you can get in there.
I do not take responcibility if any occures that shoudl not from this above information, though it shoudl not cause harm to the OS and or information on the system things can go wrong.

Thanks, and I hope it helps.

it appears you have a problem with your MSHTML file. click on 'start' then 'settings' then 'folder options...'. on the 'general' tab, choose 'classic style'. this will fix your immediate problem of not being able to browse your hard drive, and will stop your prog from crashing.

OR ||smart move||----> switch to linux. :)
