win98 will not see usb-canon s200

OS: windows 98
CPU/Ram: celeron 366mhz - 320mb

i did a f/r of emachines etower
with win98 before doing that i had
a canon s200 printer that worked just
fine..
well after doing the f/r
it will no longer recognize the
printer anymore
we have followed all instructions and
used the driver cd disk that came with it..
any info..
also would is have anything to do with a
.sys file with the starting being Usbnet or
usbnt something of that sort

You have to trouble shoot. Put back the printer to the machine that it was working on and see if it works. Take it one step at a time.

sorry the canon is the printer
and its the same emachine that its been attached to since we got the printer..
so design is
emachines etower
original o/s on hdd was 95 upgraded to 98
then a format and reisntall of windows 98
before the reinstall the printer
worked just fine after that however
it would no longer print even though the print status in the print try seems to
indicate it..
the printer makes the reving up noise when we turn on power..
so we aint got a clue as to the prb...

Go to control panel. Go to system device manager. Delete USB enries. REboot system. Windows will reload drivers for USB. This has fixed this probem for me.
