Win98 Startup Screen

Comment:
I recently downloaded replacement Win98 startup and shutdown screens. The startup screen is called LOGO.SYS and, according to the ReadMe file that came with the screens, resides directly in the C:\ directory. There are no files on my computer named "LOGO.SYS" in any directory (yes i told it to show hidden & system files). The shutdown screens installed fine, they are clled LOGOS.SYS and LOGOW.SYS in the C:\WINDOWS directory.
Does anyone know the filename/location of the Win98 build 1998 startup screen image? Is this some sort of plot by Bill Gates to keep people from changing the startup screen?
I went to: start, find, type in logo.sys and found it my Plus file.
Money talks it says "Bye Bye"

Both files are graphics:
LOGOW.SYS "Microsoft Windows 98" with logo and blue cloud background
LOGOS.SYS "It is now safe to turn off your computer"

The only thing that changes between Win95 and Win98 is that the default startup logo, instead of being in LOGO.SYS in the root directory, is embedded somewhere in Windows. Placing a LOGO.SYS in the root overrides the default and displays that logo on startup. To return to the default, remove LOGO.SYS from the root

First SLAY the IO.SYS by typing this in MSDOS
ATTRIB -R -H -S C:\IO.SYS
After that just create a logo.sys file....might refer to attributes of the old win95 logo.sys

win98 has got the original startup screen in the command .com file but win 98 will check the root first before it displays the default. So if you stick a logo.sys file in root c: it will use that one. Win 95 does not use the command .com file but instead starts off with the default bmp/sys file as you know
