Win98 SP1 Crash and reboot.

Hi folks, I am using Win98 standard. Not se, and after installing the Win98 SP1 upgrade, I keep getting a registery error after boot up, followed by an automatic reboot. This just keeps repeating over and over. I have re-installed 98 and even re-downloaded the update in case of corruption. What gives ? apart from not installing the SP1 update. Thanks for any info John

You ae not going to like this. It sounds as if the update file is corrupt. Don't install it, try downloading another patch or better still go over to 98se. i have been using it now for donks and it is the most stable os in the microsoft windows line that i have used.
