I have 2 Screensavers listed that have never ever worked: EARTHLIGHT & EASYPHOTO SLIDE SHOW, the latter sounds quite good but i cannot see anything in the settings to alter so that i can point to photos etc. (assuming thats what it is??!) Im running windows 98 SE.
Anyone any ideas?

It sounds like you have hardware or software that isn't compatible with the screen savers. This can happen when it uses some new technology like advanced openGL. It might just be too much for your machine to handle... Anyway, I can't say for certain why they're not working, but if you want to get rid of them, here's what you do.
1. First try to download the latest versions of them. They might have fixed the bugs; the newer versions might work on your computer.
2. To eliminate them: Try uninstalling from the Add/Remove Programs Box in control panel. If they're not listed there....
3. Go into the c:/Windows and C:/Windows/System folders and look for the .scr files associated with these screen savers. It might be as simple as seeing the file earthlight.scr. When found, double click them and see if they run. If not, simply delete the file. It doesn't work, and it probably never will! At least with the scr files deleted, it will no longer be listed in your saver menu. In the meantime, don't fret about lost toys... go on over to ultimatesavers.com where there is a screen saver to satisfy your every wish! Including, I'm sure, a slide show saver because I've used them before.

Thanks Michael, i have used slideshows in webshots etc. which is fine, its just a little annoying knowing these were on the system from day one and have never worked!
Thanks for your help.
