i have win 98 second edition and i have downloaded the win98 drrivers from canon's website but i still can't get my printer to print. like if i am in internet explorer and i click the print button the print job appears in my job queue but then disappears quickly ... it also says can't detect print carttridge i am using a generic print cartrudge it is maid by a company called pelikan...i would go out and buy a real canon bjc250 cartridge but they are too expensive and i can't afford that any help would be much appreciated thanks mike the student

Are you sure you have the print cartridge snapped in there good. Also was there a sticker covering the part of the cartridge that dispenses the ink. If so, did you pull it all the way off. Did you check to make sure the cable is connected securely and properly? Is it running through a scanner? If so, connect the printer directly to the computer and re-install the drivers and software then hook the scanner back up. Just a few things to check on. Hope it helps you out some.

I have win 98 but I am not able to install my printer(bjc-250)because I am missing a disc required for installation. I previously had win 95 and no disc was required. Am I able to download this disc or do I have to buy a new printer to be compatible with win 98
