win98 freezes

Loaded Win98 twice and every time I try to go in to windows explorer it locks up. HELP!!
Windows 98 freezes when the screen saver comes on...a blank screen comes on and then the only option is to reboot!!!!!!
Please help if anyone can!!!

If you have an ATI video card and an epox motherboard, you might be having 3d problems. Make sure your screen saver is just a blank screen and not a 3d opengl kind of thing.
