Comment:

I continue to receive blue screens, not at startup but when I am in the middle of something. Here are a couple of the errors I jot down:
Fatal exception OE has occurred @0028:F000FF57
Fatal "" "" @ 0028:C0249DDE in VxD VWIN32(05)+ 00002062
Fatal "" "" @0028:C0005338 in VxDVMM (01) + 00004338

When I go to reboot it ALWAYS tells me there was a windows protection error ALT+CNT+DEL to restart. When I do that it either gives me the same message or it gives me black screen. Nothing. It appears to have reboot and is fine but nothing on the monitor. I have to let it sit for 1/2 to an hour before I can go back in and work some more. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!

It could be an overheating problems. Enter the Bios and check the temperatures.

If you test many downloaded (free)programs on the comp. how they work and such, it will eventually mess-up the operating system just like it happened in my case and i got the same blue screen action although i don't check the error#s,but after reinstalling the operating sys. and not screwing around with new freewares everything is fine.If you don't have a million extra programs and games on your system that's what i suggest you do and see what hapens.Best. Back up that data now. A format and reinstall is looming in your future. What incident(s) preceded this problem?

You can avoid many of these Windows problems with Linux. Linspire eases the transition for new users
