I keep gitting Error #65 - Setup Interrupted
Setup could not finish copying a file.
Mostly, these are .cab files. I am not interrupting setup. What's going on? In the course of running stup, this message will occur for about twenty files. I have to skip the files to proceed, and windows won't load afterwards.prevousily i had removed linux red hat from my system. due to the installation(win 98 not loading) problem.i had to re- partition the whole HD.but no relief. now i have win me on my system it is running fine. but i want to know is their some hardware failure in my system..... plz help...as i recently repaired(abt 6 months back)my motherboard......thanks in advance.

try coping the OS flolder to the hdd and run setup from there , for help on how go to http://www.mesich.com/ select How-tos section.

the problem could be 1) bad cd drive or cable 2) bad cd disk 3) bad memory 4) bad hdd 5) anything and every thing

Fair Chance. Unless they are new or both have just been tested good

oops! not quite that simple. I cant explain it, but OS setup can have problems with ram even if the OS manages to run on the same ram.

Your best bet I think would be try a third CD or check if those 2 CDs work well on another machine. Also someone suggested you copy the win98 setup files to the hard disk and try again. Give that a shot too and keep us posted,
Good Luck :)
