Hi, my computer keeps getting a registry error whenever I start my computer. I ignored it for a while (bad idea, but hey, it didn't seem to affect anything), but then programs stopped working. Most of my programs in fact. So I re-formatted my hardrive and I still get the same registry error. I even took out the partition and then set the partition back and I get the error. I used to have Windows XP installed but it gave me problems and so I had to format my hardrive in order to install Win 98 SE. What should I do?
Yes, I have such experience. I has reformatted that but get the same error. After I swap out one of the Ram (I got two 64 MB total is 128) and let it only 64 MB, it works fine.
Thanks everyone for helping out. I thought it was my harddrive. I won't be able to run the ram diagnostic till I can get to my computer (I'm on a friend's computer), but it sounds like ram is the problem. Thanks again.
