Essentially the title of my thread describes my problem. I go to change the fonts in the apprearance menu, and it will change the font immediately, but upon closing the appearance menu and re-opening it, I see that the change was not permanent, as the box that I changed will then appear blank [i.e. have NO font selected]. Upon reboot then Windows will simply display most of the time the default Windows font, or this ONE other one. But this is the strangest thing, I haven't had this until about 2 weeks ago, since which I've reformatted and clean installed, paying special attention to my order of installation of drivers and programs. I run an Asus a7v133 1.05 mobo, w/ a 1.2Ghz T-Bird, Herc 3D Phrophet IImxw/ Det. 21.81 drivers, NAV 2k2 runs constantly, so does MBM 5.09, MS point 32, and Cacheman 5.0. I run 256MB of Toshiba PC133. I have the VIA 4in1 v 4.33 installed w/o VIA's IDE Bus Master. I've provided a link to my system rig page at Anandtech if there's any other questions on my setup. Any help is REALLY appreciated here. This is a minor issue, albeit extremely annoying.

DID you "APPLY" the changes?
Did you "SAVE AS" and give a name to your appearance prefferances?

Yes, I applied it. "Save As" is only there to save your color/font/desktop 'scheme'. Changing the fonts only requires clicking apply.
