OS: Windows 98 SE

Comment:

If this appears several times, my bad.

Whenever I close an application I get an error message refering to wjview.exe. I have no idea what it means, only that it's a pain.

My OS is win 98 se and other installed appications aside from those included with win 98 se, are a virus scanner, AVG plus. Word 2000, an appliucation that came with my printer and a small application for my digital camera, which I've never used on this machine.
All I use this machine for is sending and recieving emails, some web browsing, word processing and I host several yahoo groups.
Given this, can I uninstall wjview.exe safely, and if not, does anyone know of any other fix I can use?
I am not pc genious, my computer savy goes to spelling the word nothing more, so please, be gentle and keep it simple for me.
Any help is appreciated, Thanks

Bob

While reading the thread I posted earlier, some people who had the same problem as you mentioned a spyware program Money Tree which seemed to be the root of the problem. Try downloading this program SpyBot (Free) and running a scan to see if it comes up.

SpyBot: http://spybot-spyware.com/

Good luck.

The "Spybot" program that you get from http://spybot-spyware.com is NOT the real Spybot Search & Destroy. spybot-spyware.com downloads Spy Hunter, which supposedly removes spyware, but it actually installs spyware on your machine.

The real Spybot Search & Destroy is here:
