Comment:
I have cable (surfboard) successfully running on one comp w/ win xp thru a router to allow for a 2nd comp (running win 98) to connect. Running fine thru the router. however, 2nd comp has not connected successfully, but the ethernet card is talking to the router. i'm sure its only a matter of settings, but I haven't been able to guess what to change on the win 98 machine. The "internet Settings wizard" seems only to apply to the tele modem. does anyone know what to set and where in win 98 to get my machine to talk to the cable modem?
Choose the connect thru a LAN connection and remove all traces of any dialup accounts.
