can any one pls give commands to delete partition and create new partition using commands in Win98 ?

You can't do that from within the OS. You'll have to boot to a boot floppy and run fdisk.

Post back the size of the drive and whether it's the only drive connected in the PC. But, in general with a single hard drive:

You boot up with the bootdisk and at the a:\> prompt type fdisk and enter. Answer Y to large disk support. Now you're at the main menu. To create a partition use option 1, 'Create dos partition. . .' It'll check out the drive and ask how much space to use for the partition. For convience choose to use all the space as a single partition. It'll then create the partition. When it's done it'll say to hit ESC to exit fdisk and tell you to reboot. Reboot to the dos bootdisk. You can now format the drive. If it's the only drive in the PC you'd type format c: and enter. When it's done formatting you can install 98.
