my Windows 98, Second edition stops booting up at a C:\> prompt with the message..."Cannot find WIN.COM, Unable to continue loading Windows. If I type in Windows\win.com at the prompt, it will continue loading Windows. The screens and things are not as I have set them. it looks like someones eleses screens. Any suggestions on this problem. Also looks like the colors are not right. thanks.

Want to thank Buster and Don for their help.
I read the article suggested and I will have to try the reinstall of Win 98 and find the verify option.
