Win 98 and 95 Networking

I have a Windows 98 and Windows 95 coputer and I have been trying to set up a LAN by using a BNC connection it used to work with windows 95 to windows 95 but now i have upgraded I cannot share files or play any multiplayer games. Please help.

It sounds like a configuration problem to me. Either the cards or the protocols. Follow this link to check out Microsoft's Win95/98 troubleshooting page.

Go out an Buy 2 X 10Base T Ethernet Cards and a Crossover cable long enough to reach between the two.

If you have them setup in the same workgroup and on the same subnet with your IP addresses i.e. 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.2 you should be OKAY.

The most important thing is the crossover cable.

Cost approx = $40 australian for the 2 cards (cheaper if you buy second hand)
$10 for the cable

you now have a network that is 10X the speed with little cost and shouldnt be a problem.
