Win 95b ethernet driver software load problem

Comment:
We have tried to install three different ethernet cards and driver software. All three have failed. The software will not load. Window 95 kicks us out each time we try to load the software(via the wizard). Anyone aware of similar problem and (hopefully) a patch?

What brand ethernet adapter? ISA or PCI? First, look in Device Manager and remove the ethernet adapter. Reboot. Windows will detect the new hardware and will attempt to search for a driver. When it gets to the point of asking you where to find the driver check "other location" and enter the path such as "a:/ecard/win95" or where ever your ethernet drivers are located. You might even have to re-seat your adapter card before this will work
