I had win98 on partition C, mp3 files on partition D and because memorex doesn't work under 98, I installed 95 on E partition
E:\WIN95. now I boot directly in to win95. how do I get into win98?

Once Win'95 was installed, it overwrote the boot partition. Win '98 & Win '95 do not give you the option to dual boot the two OS's. Use a WIN '98 boot disk w/ FDISK on it and run FDISK /MBR. This will rewrite your master boot record and WIN '98 should be restored....but say good bye to WIN '95

'95 and '98 on the same system isn't a good way to go; they will 'fight' and yoiu have some evidence of this already...

Using a Boot-manager is probably the only 'reliable'/least-troublesome route...

http://www.webdev.net/orca/nojava/faq.htm

is a Boot-manager info site.

http://www.wugnet.com/articles/multiboot/mboot.html

offers a '95/'98 scenario; but as I say, it is not a recommended route to go...
