Win 95 Start Up Menu

Comment:
Friend of mine has an IBM PC 750. Windows 95 Start Up Menu appears every time system boots. If I hit the "enter" key, system immediately finishes booting Windows 95 normally. How do I stop Win 95 startup menu from appearing? I don't see a command line in Autoexec.bat telling system to bring up the Start Up Menu. Suggestions?

Run msconfig (Start/Run type msconfig), Advanced tab - check for 'Enable Startup Menu'.

Since msconfig does not come with Win95 then copy it from a Win98 machine and install it in the same directory that you copied it from.
It works fine and is OK with MS to do so.

How long is 2 seconds?
Summary: Hi. For no apparent reason windows insists on starting at the Win 98 start up menu screen and I have to select normal start up from the six options to continue. I shut down last time as normal bu...
