Comment: Can anyone reply today, last chance to receive replies at work before the holidays. My registry has gone kaput, i need to reinstall win 95 but the program tells me the c:drive is compressed or something. It would be nice to reinstall Win 95 with as little trouble as possible. Any techies out there able to advise, preferably in queen's english (not cockney) Thank you all.

Reply: (edit)Dear Sir, It is with much regret to find you having such porblems. I find the lack of pertinent information rendering myself with little conclusion. As such, I would suggest performing an fdisk procedure and the re-install. Not being proficient in this matter myself I could encourage your acceptance of this idea by reply and with the assistance of another advising the correct prompt commands. Here is hoping you are able to enjoy your holiday with the use of your system. Cheerio!

Reply: (edit)I think I posted this once before to you, but will post again: You must remove all compression utilities from your computer. Then format and partition it. YOU CANNOT REINSTALL ANY VERSION OF WINDOWS ON A COMPRESSED HARD DRIVE. This is the best help I (or anyone) can give you: Compressed Format
